Found property with no proven ownership within 90 days shall be returned to the finder if the finder states his desire to claim the property.

Items held for observation will be held 7 days pending issuance of a complaint. If no charges are filed after the 7 days, property will be returned.

Items held for safekeeping will be held for 30 days for pickup by owner.

Items held as evidence will not be released until the period for appeals have been concluded. Photo ID and proof of ownership may be required for release of property.
Persons notified to claim property must do so within 30 days or they may be disposed of in accordance with the Blackfoot Municipal Code.

The Property Section's hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Call 785-1235. Please call ahead for release of property.
