How do I know if I should dial 911 or the regular police non-emergency number?

If the situation is life threatening or there is a crime in progress call 911.  If you want to report a crime that has already occurred, report suspicious activity, have a non-emergency situation, or have a question, call (208)785-1234.

Where is the Police Department located?

The Law Enforcement Building is located at 501 N Maple in Blackfoot, Idaho. Inside of the Bingham County Courthouse.

How do I get a copy of a police report?

Requests may be submitted in person at 501 N Maple at the records department.

I need to be fingerprinted for a job.  Does Blackfoot Police Dept do public fingerprinting?

The Bingham County Sheriff's Office does public fingerprinting.  Contact the Sheriff's Office business desk between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday located at 501 N Maple, Blackfoot.  Or you may call to obtain information at (208) 785-4440.

Where do I find out about motor vehicle registrations?

Contact the Department of Motor Vehicles located within the Bingham County Courthouse located at 501 N Maple.  Or you may call to obtain information at (208) 782-3031

Where can I get information pertaining to a Concealed Weapons Permit?

You may contact the Bingham County Sheriff's Office business desk between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. located at 501 N Maple, Blackfoot.  Or you may also visit the State of Idaho Web page at www.accessidaho.org to obtain further information.

Contact the Magistrate Court Clerks Division located in the Bingham County Courthouse located at 501 N Maple between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Or you may call to obtain information at (208)782-3122.

How do I obtain an extra patrol of my residence while I am gone on vacation?

Residents may contact the Bingham County Dispatch Division at (208) 785-1234 prior to leaving on vacation or a business trip and request that an extra patrol be done on their residence while they are gone.
