The Blackfoot Police/Bingham County Sheriff Joint Detective unit is lead by Lieutenant Paul Newbold.  The unit is responsible for all investigations in Bingham County and Blackfoot City. This division is made up of eight investigators with over 64 years of combined law enforcement experience.  It also includes a narcotics unit.

  The Blackfoot/Bingham Detective Team is responsible for primarily working felony investigations. 
We have a solve rate well above the national average. This due in part to the community giving us information that assists our investigations.  We encourage anyone with information to contact us or leave anonymous tip.
