The Blackfoot Police Department is augmented by the Reserve Division. The Reserves volunteer their time to assist the department and the community. Through extensive training and time served they can reach a level of certification where they can patrol on their own without partnering with an officer. The department strives to maintain four to six active reserve officers depending on availability of time and equipment. Their service is invaluable as they extend the resources of the department to put more officers on patrol and assist at community events. Reserve officers are often assisted in achieving a career in law enforcement due to the training and exposure to the profession through the reserve program. If you would like further information about the Blackfoot Police Reserve program we invite you to contact the department at 208-785-1235, email, or with the link below. All reserve applicants must meet the department’s hiring requirements.
